Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) & Environmental Audits (EA)
Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
EIAs are legal requirement and part of the project development process done at the initial stages of a project development. It is a decision making tool and should guide whether a project should be implemented, abandoned or modified prior to implementation. The goal of an EIA is to ensure that decisions on proposed projects and activities are environmentally sustainable. ESG Whiz is licensed to undertake EIAs both locally and internationally.
National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) License
In Kenya, after carrying out an EIA, you need to submit it to NEMA, for review of the predicted impacts of your project, product and services and your proposed mitigation measures. After review and public participation, NEMA may grant you a license to proceed with your project. You need a licensed NEMA Expert to submit the application for you through the licensing portal, and act as your representative with NEMA. We are licensed NEMA Experts and will seamlessly take you through this process.
Environmental Audit (EA)
EAs are a legal requirement and part of project monitoring and evaluation done every twelve (12) months after project completion. The objectives of EAs are to help determine if proponents of projects or establishments are complying with the environmental legislation and requirements in place. ESG Whiz is licensed to undertake EAs both locally and internationally.
